WebAdmin JavaScript errors + Page navigation broken

MDaemon 10.0.3 introduced a WebAdmin bug preventing the “next page” buttons in the userlist from working, as well as possible script errors and problems with the “Filter” button.

This issue will be fixed in the next patch, but in the mean time, a patch is available.

Download global.zip, unzip and copy the global.js file to the WebAdmin\Templates\Javascript directory.

Note that it may be necessary to clear the browser’s cache for the updated file to take effect.

UPDATE 2009-01-22: Updated URL.

Maximum number of users per domain

WebAdmin supports a maximum number of accounts that can be created on a per-domain basis but this option is actually less visible then you might imagine.

To set the maximum number of accounts, login to WebAdmin, go to the “Domains” editor, edit a domain and look at the [Properties] tab and look for the “Maximum number of users that can be created by WebAdmin:” option.

This limit effects domain administrators, but not global administrators.

Note that this option is not exposed in MDaemon’s GUI anywhere, so in order to take advantage of this feature you need to be using WebAdmin.

MDaemon-AD User Management for Dynamic NT Auth

Meet MDaemon-AD User Management for Dynamic NT Auth

This is version 1.1 which includes a couple bug fixes.

This script creates users and OUs in Windows AD for the purpose of using Dynamic NT option in MDaemon. Run the script with no parameters to get the syntax and functions. MDaemon must be running as an account with object creation privileges.

This script is to be used in conjunction with WebAdmin. WebAdmin now allows script execution after account events. To enable this, read the release notes and edit your webadmin.ini file. The entry is located in the [Special] section and might look something like:

ModifyUserProcess=”Cscript.exe D:\MDaemon\scripts\user_management.vbs”

There are constants and comments in this script that must be edited prior to use. Please read through it!
